Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy in Mulgrave

The only multi-disciplinary children's therapy clinic based in Mulgrave

Kids Connect Therapy has been at Unit 4, 12 Compark Circuit, Mulgrave VIC 3170 for over a decade. We are not a branch of a larger group and we are not a mobile service that happens to visit the area. Mulgrave is where we are.

That matters more than it sounds. It means your child sees the same therapists in the same room, with the same equipment, every time — which for a lot of the children we work with is the difference between a productive session and twenty minutes of settling in.

Speech and OT under one roof

Most families in Mulgrave who need both speech pathology and occupational therapy end up driving to two clinics, telling the story twice, and hoping the two sets of goals don't contradict each other.

At Kids Connect, your child's speech pathologist and occupational therapist work in the same practice, share notes, and plan together. When your OT is working on regulation and your speech pathologist is working on expressive language, those two things support each other rather than competing for your child's energy.

Our approach

We are a neuro-affirmative, trauma-informed and gender-diversity-affirming practice. In practice that means we don't measure success by how well a child performs being neurotypical. We work on communication that actually works, regulation before demands, and environments that flex around the child.

Our therapists are trained in the DIR®/Floortime™ Model and draw on the Hanen programs, Zones of Regulation, Lindamood-Bell, PROMPT, Sensory Integration, Social Thinking and Circle of Security.

Common questions from Mulgrave families

Do I need a referral?
No. You can contact us directly. Referrals are only needed if you intend to claim a Medicare rebate.

Do you see children before they start school?
Yes — most of our early intervention work is with children under 5, and the evidence for starting early is strong.

What if we need both speech and OT?
That is a large part of what we do, and it's the main reason families choose us over a single-discipline clinic. We'll coordinate scheduling so you're not making two trips.

How long is the wait?
It varies. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you honestly where things stand.
