In School speech pathology and occupational therapy
Kids Connect Therapy works in a number of private, independent and catholic primary schools across metropolitan melbourne.
We work closely with schools and families to develop flexible and realistic funding options that support children to access speech pathology and occupational therapy services.
When establishing services within a school, we collaborate with the school to develop an individualised service model that aligns with their available funding and needs. We can also offer flexible billing arrangements, including school, parent or split billing, to help families make use of available rebates, government funding or Private Health Insurance cover.

Observation of your child in their educational environment
Kids Connect Therapy offers school, kinder and daycare consultations for our current clients to help our therapists better understand how a child participates within their everyday educational environment and provide practical strategies to support them. Teacher discussion, problem solving and education is an important part of this process to ensure cross over between home, school and therapy settings.
Professional Development for schools, daycares and kinders
In addition to consultations supporting individual children, the Directors and Senior Therapists at Kids Connect Therapy offer professional development workshops for schools, preschools and early childhood services.
Our workshops draw on the DIR® model and neuro-affirming practice to support educators to develop a deeper understanding of child development, developmental capacities, individual processing differences, emotional regulation and social capacities.
Sessions focus on practical, evidence-informed strategies that educators can use within everyday environments to support children’s regulation, engagement, relationships and participation.
Professional development workshops can be tailored to the needs, priorities and experiences of each school or early childhood service, ensuring the content is relevant and practical for their team.
